Yoga Vasishta – Book 3 Utpatti Prakarana

Utpatti Prakarana, or “Origination,” investigates one of the deepest questions in Yoga Vasishta: How does the world come into existence, and what is the relationship between the world, the mind, and the Supreme Self? The discussion begins with Sri Rama asking Sage Vasishta fundamental questions about birth, death, growth, creation, and the apparent existence of the world. Vasishta gradually leads Rama toward the understanding that what appears to be an independently existing external universe is intimately connected with mind and consciousness.
